Welcome, Amarnath pilgrims! we’re here to help ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage for you. This guide will walk you through the registration process, obtaining your permit, and collecting your RFID card – all essential steps for embarking on this sacred journey.
Registration Process:
- Registration May Open : 01st March , 2025
- Medical Certificate Validity: On or after April 10th, 2025
Before You Begin:
- Download the Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) format and list of authorized doctors from the official Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board website .
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Photo ID (Aadhar preferred)
- Original Medical Certificate from an authorized doctor/hospital in your state
Step-by-Step Registration:.
- Visit the official Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board website and navigate to “Amarnath Pilgrimage Permit Registration.”
- Accept the terms and conditions and familiarize yourself with pilgrimage guidelines.
- Choose Your Route: Select either the Baltal (new and shorter, 14 km) or Pahalgam (Chandnawari, longer, 30 km trek) route.
- Enter your details: Name, Father/Husband’s name, Gender, Date of Birth, Contact Information (mobile & emergency), Email, Address, Nationality etc.
- Medical Details: Fill in details regarding the issuing state, location, hospital, and upload your scanned Medical Certificate (.PDF format, under 1MB).
- Complete the captcha and submit the form.
- You’ll receive a temporary permit number and OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to submit.
- The Shrine Board will review your application (within 24-48 hours). Upon approval, you’ll receive confirmation and instructions for payment.
- Pay the registration fee within 24 hours to download your permit using the temporary registration number and mobile number.
- Download and print your permit for your records.
Important Notes:
- Individuals below 13 years and above 70 years are not permitted for the pilgrimage.
- Pregnant women beyond 6 weeks are not allowed.
- Carry your original photo ID and Medical Certificate during the Pilgrimage.
Collecting Your RFID Card:
- Once you have your permit, visit the nearest government counter in Srinagar or Jammu.
- Present your downloaded permit and original medical certificate.
- Undergo KYC verification using your Aadhar card to receive your RFID card.
Without a valid RFID card and permit, you will not be eligible to embark on the pilgrimage.
