Devotees of Lord Shiva, get ready to embark on the sacred pilgrimage to the holy cave of Shri Amarnathji in the lap of the Himalayas! The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), under the leadership of the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and SASB Chairman Shri Manoj Sinha, has officially announced the dates for the much-awaited Amarnath Yatra 2026. The yatra will commence on 29 Jun 2026 and conclude on 28th August 2026, spanning an auspicious 60 days.
This announcement, made on 12th Feb 2026, has sparked immense excitement among devotees, even as it brings a twist rooted in unwavering faith. Despite the natural Shivling’s early disappearance during last year’s yatra on 4th July 2024 & 2025, the Shrine Board has decided to begin this year’s yatra on a similar timeline. This bold decision reflects the age-old Hindi proverb, “राम भरोसे हिंदू होटल” (loosely translating to “In God We Trust”). It’s a testament to the unshakable belief and dedication of devotees who journey to experience the divine presence, regardless of challenges.
